THE NAB - 4 June 2007

Dale Head - Angle Tarn - The Nab - Angle Tarn - Dale Head

8 miles, 2200 feet of ascent

I was owed some time off at work so today as the weather was so promising I decided to finish at lunchtime and head off to Dale Head with this plendid view of The Nab.

Then the view of Martindale opens up.

From the Nab there is a lovely retrospect of Rest Dodd.

Super view down the valley.

The peat hags, some of which are six feet deep, make the walk quite difficult in places.

The Nab is of course a deer reserve.

A stunning view back of The Nab on the way back to Angle Tarn.

Here it is Angle Tarn with 'The Pike' beyond.

A super afternoon walk on a very warm day.
