CARROCK FELL, HIGH PIKE, KNOTT, and
GREAT CALVA - 30 May 2007
Mosedale - Carrock fell - High Pike - Knott - Great Calva - Mosedale
12 miles, 2800 feet of ascent
The walk started in Mosedale which means 'dreary place'. Today? I don't think so!

Carrock Fell was one of AW's favourites. Partly because it was a tumulus? He seemed to like these!

A couple of different tops to explore and plenty of stone.

Looking to the next objective; High Pike.

There used to be a wrought iron bench here, but the replacement is made from slate.

The summit of Knott with Skiddaw and Bakestall behind.....

and then on to Great Calva.

Skiddaw House with Lonscale Fell behind.

Having descended Great Calva.........

it was a fair old walk back to the car.
